today we learned about all the new emporeres and how some were good some wee bad and others were insane. we learned how Nixon almost got impeached and how he resigned b4 they could impeach him so he wouldn't get charged with criminal acts.
Today in Western Civilization we learned about Caser he served council for a year appointed himself governor of Gaul Pompey. In 44 BC he was named dictator for life he granted citizenship to people in provinces expanded the Senate created jobs for the poor and increased [pay for the soldiers he was doing many good things an helping out a lot of people. Octavin was named Julis Ceaser's sole heir this is the end of the republic he then took over at the age of 18 which is veryry rare at the time, Octavius the uncuall engaged rulers of Rome he was also given the tit;e imperator. This is where we hey the word emporer ruled for 40 years and Pax Romana was 207 years long 27 BC to 180 AD.
Today in Western Civilization we learned quite a bit about Julius Caesar and couple more well-known people. Tiberius Gracchus recognized the advantages of courting the plebians. (even though he was ultimately unsuccessful). Military generals worried that angle-lead an army that conquers lands, then give them a share of the spoils. Soldiers’ loyalty was to their military leader, not necessarily to Rome the Republic. Nobody did that better than Julius Caesar, Julius Caesar was a highly successful general, he conquered the huge territory of Gaul. He made common folks happy and had friends in high places. Pompey was a general who conquered Syria and Palestine. Crassus was the richest man in Rome, one of the richest men in History.

we presented Greeks used shields to help them battle. The Greek shield of Ancient Greece was called a hoplon or aspis. These shields are multipurpose, They can deflect arrows and incoming objects from enemy lines. They were also used as plow, to charge into the enemy lines. Hoplon Shields were constructed out of deeply- dished wood. Hoplon shields were made quicker and less cost effective, but the con of them is that there they did not last has long. But most shields had a thin layer of mental to protect the wood and make the lifespan of the shield last a lot longer. ​
we presented The Greeks used several types of ranged weapons such as bow and arrows Javelins and slings. Even though the bow was uncommon among Greek war some troops treated their arrows by thrusting them into rotting corpses, thus creating a crude form of biological weapon. Peltast troops commonly used javelins, and hoplites and cavalry troops were also often equipped with javelins for throwing. They often used a tool called the amentum. The amentum helped increase the javilineers accuracy and distance ​
we worked on our projects and added a new member to our group we are doing our project on greek warfare and i learned that there is a special tool that they used to help them throw a javelin way farther and way more accurately and i learned that had all types of different types of swords even sort of like miniature swords dom wasn't here and we realized dom isn't doing any work
