in western civilization we talked about ancient Greece from the time of 2000 B.C. to 700 A.D. we learned that Democracy was developed in Athens during this time and that alexander the great had spread Greek culture and about how Rome became an empire and began conquering other empires 2000 B.C. Minioan civilization prospers to creat 1780 B.C. Hammurabi issues code of law 1500 B.C. Mycenaean culture thrives on Greek mainland 1472 B.C. Hatshepsut woman pharaoh begins her reign 1200 B.C. trojan war takes place 1027 B.C. Zhou Dynasty begins in china 850 B.C. Assyrians expand their empire 500 B.C. Zapotec of Mexico build monte Alban 334 B.C. Alexander the great begins to build his empire 321 B.C. Chandragupta founds Mauryan empire in India

Today in Western Civilization we had a substitute and in the beginning, we started taking notes out of the textbook most people were almost finished but the main thing that the textbook was focusing on was how Religion influenced civilization and how Religion was not very big until the rise of Christianity also it talked about how alot of people were persecuted for being Christians because not many of the big important people agreed with Christianity and this made some people get into arguments and this also leads to people being killed if they didnt have the same beliefs as you did which is also a big them in the Bible Jesus was killed because other people didnt gree with his beliefs.
